Pre School Admissions

Admissions for Bladins International Pre School is based on a waiting list. We also apply sibling priority which means that siblings of other children attending our preschool will be prioritised so long as the family meets the necessary entrance requirements (see below) for children attending an International School in Sweden. For the academic year 2022-2023 and onwards, families applying for places at BISM for children that attend our pre-school must complete a new application irrespective of whether they have siblings attending BISM or not.

Compulsory School Admissions (PYP 1 – MYP 5)

Admission to Bladins International School of Malmö is in accordance with Swedish School Law Chapter 24 Paragraph 3 for Swedish Compulsory Education. Bladins International School of Malmö can only accept a child who belongs to at least one of the following categories:

  1. The child is living in Sweden for a short period of time.
  2. The child has studied abroad for a longer period of time and will complete their education in Sweden.
  3. There is a good reason to assume that the child will be leaving Sweden for a longer period of time.
  4. The child has the school’s language of instruction (English) as their daily language of communication with one or both guardians, and sufficient knowledge in the language to follow the teaching and learning.

We recommend that you apply for your child’s admission as early as possible, even if you already have children attending the school, as spaces are limited. A child can be admitted into preschool after they have turned one year old.
