Admissions for Bladins International Pre School is based on a waiting list. We also apply sibling priority which means that siblings of other children attending our preschool will be prioritised so long as the family meets the necessary entrance requirements (see below) for children attending an International School in Sweden. For the academic year 2022-2023 and onwards, families applying for places at BISM for children that attend our pre-school must complete a new application irrespective of whether they have siblings attending BISM or not.
Compulsory School Admissions (PYP 1 – MYP 4)
Admission to Bladins International School of Malmö is done in accordance with Swedish School Law Chapter 24 Paragraph 3. Bladins International School of Malmö can only accept families who belong to any one of the four following categories:
The family/child are living in Sweden for a short period of time.
The family/child have studied/lived abroad for a longer period of time and will complete their education in Sweden.
There is significant evidence to prove that the family/child will be leaving Sweden for a longer period of time.
The child has the language of instruction as their daily language with one or both parents/guardians and sufficient knowledge in the language to follow the educational plan of the school.
We recommend that you apply for your child’s admission as early as possible, even if you already have children attending the school, as spaces are limited. A child can be admitted into preschool after they have turned one year old.
