Quality Development
The purpose of systematic quality assurance is to make quality and equity in schools and preschools visible, what we do, why we do it and what it leads to. Effective quality assurance is essential for promoting the development and learning of all children and students. By planning, monitoring, analysing, documenting and developing our education, we create and share knowledge about what contributes to high-quality education.
The Swedish Education Act sets out clear requirements for systematic quality assurance. It also states that teachers, preschool teachers, other staff and students must be involved in this work. Students’ guardians, as well as children in preschool and their guardians, must also be given the opportunity to participate.

Quality Management
Bladins School Foundation ensures the quality of its educational programmes through continuous monitoring and evaluation. This enables the principals of our schools to assess the quality of education and identify areas for development, both on an ongoing basis and over time.

Research and Development
Educational research and development are important parts of Bladins’ systematic quality assurance. The Swedish Education Act states that education within the school system must be based on scientific knowledge and proven experience. Bladins aims to be at the forefront of educational development, which means that our schools contribute, among other things, to generating new educational research.
Scientific basis
Education based on scientific knowledge means that findings from scientific studies should serve as a basis for how preschools and schools plan, deliver and evaluate their activities. In other words, relevant research findings should inform both the content and the methods used in education.
This means that practices in preschools and schools should not conflict with scientific knowledge. However, research findings need to be interpreted in order to be applied appropriately in each educational setting. It is therefore important to assess whether, and in what way, research is relevant to the particular group of children or students.
Proven experience
Proven experience consists of knowledge developed through everyday work in preschools and schools, as professionals work together to test and reassess approaches, discuss their practices and critically evaluate their own work. It is the profession’s collective knowledge, developed over time.
Proven experience is as valuable as scientifically grounded knowledge. By recognising proven experience, the Swedish Education Act acknowledges professionals’ knowledge of what works and what can improve children’s and students’ opportunities to learn and develop.
