Illness Reporting and Absence

Students in compulsory education are required to attend school and participate in the education provided. Regular attendance is an important part of students’ learning and development.

Absence

All absences must be reported digitally through SchoolSoft. In cases of illness, guardians must report the absence each day before the start of the school day.

If an absence has not been reported, the school will contact the guardian.

The school monitors student attendance continuously. In cases of repeated or prolonged absence, guardians will be contacted and, where necessary, the reasons for the absence will be investigated further.

Leave of Absence

Applications for leave must be submitted in advance.

Shorter periods of leave may be approved by the Mentor. For leave of more than two days, exceptional circumstances are required and approval from the Principal is necessary. Leave of absence is rarely granted.
